A summary of the rules for reciting the Holy Quran

Through the covenant that God Almighty has taken upon Himself to preserve His mighty Book (the Holy Quran), revealed to the master of all Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), comes the true and definitive proof of the sealing of the divine books with the Holy Quran, and consequently, the sealing of prophethood and messengership with the seal of the Prophets and Messengers, Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). Since God, the Blessed and Exalted, has preserved the Holy Quran, which the Lord, Mighty and Sublime, has chosen as guidance for all worlds, there is no longer any reason necessitating the revelation of another new divine book, such as the distortion that affected previous books (revealed before the Holy Quran), like the Torah and the Gospel… and others, which took them out of their divine framework suitable for guiding humanity.

Therefore, with God’s preservation, the Blessed and Exalted, of His final divine book (the Holy Quran), and given that the nation of Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is a nation that calls to his guidance and to what God Almighty has revealed in His Book, there is no longer any need for any other divine book or new messenger.

What we now witness in terms of the widespread expansion of Islam and the rising rates of those embracing it and sheltering under its umbrella is a visible, tangible testament to this.

The Holy Quran is the Book of God, Mighty and Sublime. Its eloquence, the magnificence of its meanings, the precision of the harmony of its words and structures, the loftiness of its goals and objectives, the beauty of its legislation and rulings, and the scientific and unseen truths (including historical unseen matters that were only recently discovered after the advancement of scientific means) that it informed us about more than fourteen hundred years ago in various scientific fields… and more, are all evidence that the Holy Quran is the Word of the Lord of the Noble Throne, God, Lord of the Worlds.

Thus, it becomes abundantly clear to us the great status of this Book we have in our hands—the Holy Quran—in the sight of God, Mighty and Sublime, and consequently, the immense reward for those who honor it and magnify its importance by learning it, holding fast to it, and calling others to it.

The Holy Quran is God’s eternal sign, His enduring proof, and His everlasting miracle. It is God’s strong rope, connecting to Him, the Most High, and through it (the Holy Quran) a person finds happiness in this world and the hereafter, and gains closeness to his Lord (Blessed and Exalted).

The people of the Quran are the people of God Almighty and His special ones. The proof of this is what Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) informed us, when he said:

“Indeed, God has special people among humanity. They asked: Who are they, O Messenger of God? He said: The people of the Quran are the people of God and His special ones.” (Authentic hadith / narrated by An-Nasa’i, Al-Hakim, and Ibn Majah)
